Birds of Prey
Longing for the one who you used to be
Counting careless words cast on a vacancy
And when you left here it was cold outside
Hang your regrets dear, on the other side
Buried in the memories was the waving of her hand
Across a midnight crowd, she stood fading in the stands
A smile lightly played upon the corners of her face
Launched a billion boats across the landscape with her grace
Time revolves around the void you left behind
Waiting out the hours of silence in my mind
What can one say through all of this
Like birds of prey over an emptiness
