I heard the drifter say

我听到这个流浪汉说

As they carried him from the courtroom

当他们把他从庭上带下

And were taking him away

并准备将他押走

My trip hasn't been a pleasant one

我的旅途一直不怎么愉快

My time it isn't long

我的时间也所剩无几

And I still do not know

但我仍然搞不明白

What it was that I've done wrong

我到底做错了什么

Well the judge he cast his robe aside

好吧 法官脱掉他的长袍

A tear came to his eye

一滴泪在他眼中打转

You fail to understand he said

既然你不理解 他说

Why must you even try

那你为何要求开庭审判呢

Outside the crowd was stirring

庭外人群乱成了一锅粥

You could hear it from the door

你能听到喧嚣从门口传来

Inside the judge was stepping down

庭内法官慢慢走下台阶

While the jury cried for more

而陪审团哭嚷着要求再审

Oh stop that cursed jury

陪审团给我消停些吧

Cried the attendant and the nurse

随从和保姆大声叫嚷

The trial was bad enough

审讯的结果已经很糟糕了

But this is ten times worse

但现况无疑糟糕得多

Just then a bolt of lightning

正在那时一道闪电划过

Struck the courthouse out of shape

将法院建筑击得粉碎

And while everybody knelt to pray

正当所有人跪地祈祷

The drifter did escape

流浪汉趁乱迅速逃走
