Sister

Sister
I see you every Sunday morning
At a place where people seeking comfort
From their creator
And you say your prayers
Sister
Do you even know where you're going
Stuck in a city full of strangers
Away from home
Away from love
And there were bad news on the papers
Reminded you of other sisters
They didn't come this far to be hurt
Losing all their pride and soul
And all we do is see them grieve
Sister
It's a long way home
It's beyond the sea
And you're all alone
Has anybody out there answered to your calls
Sometimes you even wonder
You're braver than you thought
Sister
It's a long way home
It's beyond the sea
And you're all alone
Oh how you wish you never dreamed this dream before
But you are not the village girl
That you were once before
Oh sister
And there were bad news on the papers
Reminded you of other sisters
They didn't come this far to be hurt
Losing all their pride and soul
And all we do is see them grieve
Sister
It's a long way home
It's beyond the sea
And you're all alone
Has anybody out there answered to your calls
Sometimes you even wonder
You're braver than you thought
Sister
It's a long way home
It's beyond the sea
And you're all alone
Oh how you wish you never dreamed this dream before
But you are not the village girl
That you were once before
Oh sister
